Gorilla Marketing with Laptop Stickers

).
Our listener Vic sells an awesome laptop branding product called Lap-Raps . Lap-Raps are essentially laptop artwork stickers that stick to the top of your laptop and can be a custom design, photo or ready made artwork available from the website.
It just so turns out I was about to head off to Ed Dale’s coming home conference when Vic from Lap-Rap contacted me. What a great opportunity to use this product for a bit of gorilla marketing. Vic was kind enough to sponsor me my lap-rap which I promptly applied to the front of my MacBook Pro prior to the event.
The laptop stickers served two purposes: brand presence at the conference and introductions. Apart from always having my laptop in front of me with Flippa branding in plain view, people were so interested in the product that i was approached on numerous occasions and asked where to find lap-raps.
Now, if I had been a presenter and able to take my laptop on stage – imagine the brand impact on my target audience. Nice!
A clever move by Vic too – he should see some sales as a result of his kindness.
I love my Lap-Rap! I am so glad you introduced me to them. Mine arrived in the mail on Friday and it looks great. I didn’t go for a “branding” lap-rap, instead I chose some pretty funky & colourful art. It’s an awesome idea. Thanks!
As someone who was ay #30DCHome and saw the laptop I must say i was really impressed with how Luke’s laptop looked. The sticker looks really high quality and the printing is great. As a marketing tool it worked.
If my laptop wasn’t so naturally gorgeous I would be getting one myself….hope he can do iphone and ipads *wink*
